Where working Widgety comes naturally
There is so much to write about Widget.  It was love at first sight - I met that feral looking little brindle pup, and knew I had to have her.  After weeks of campaigning, my family agreed, and the Widg came to live with us.  I will always be grateful to Patricia Princehouse and Kathy Burger for entrusting this little girl to me!

What is a Widget, anyway?
Passionate.  Powerful.  Fiery.  Devoted.

She is a delight to train, a complicated bundle of ideas and quicksilver movement.
She knows my rules, and follows them scrupulously, which makes her completely reliable around other dogs.
She loves to run agility (WOW does she love it!), learn obedience exercises, perform freestyle, herd sheep, run the household, show in conformation, go places, and has never hesitated to meet and greet any person.  But what Widget loves most is to follow me around.  Sure, being Widg, she might hurry me along with a little ankle grab.

She is a force of nature, and rough and tumble, but so tenderhearted with her human family.

What is that way off in the distance?
Itsa Widget!  All the dogs love those whistling blue Chuckit balls.
Looks like she's flying - but Widget doesn't do anything slowly!

Widget is my training partner, and has class wins in obedience, rally, and agility, is a breed champion, and has champion and performance titled offspring.  But her day job is being a good old farm dog.
For a dog of such high drive, she is excellent at perceiving what I need her to do.  No training, just a Pyr shep doing what comes naturally!
